Deborah is an established Costume Designer. Having been in the
industry for over 25 years, working freelance for all the main
networks including BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Sky. Designing and
styling for prestigious television shows, publicity and editorial
shoots, working closely with producers, directors and
actors/celebrities.
Deborah has a fashion background, having worked for high profile
glossy magazines British Vogue, Harper's and Queen (London) and
Harper's Bazaar (New York) at the start of her career.
Having started her costume career at the BBC Costume Department,
Deborah became a Costumier running different departments before
going freelance as an Assistant Costume Designer. During this time
she learnt how to manage a budget, set etiquette, fitting artists,
dressing, shopping, lining up, breaking down costume, script
breakdown, location filming, and studio filming.
Since then she has had the privilege of working on a variety of
different programmes in all genres for all the UK networks as a
Costume Designer. Some of Deborah’s credits include 'Liverpool
Narcos', 'The Big Narstie Show' and 'Paul Sinha’s TV Showdown' to
name a few of her extensive portfolio of work. Many of the
programmes Deborah has been involved with are award nominated.
Deborah has been interviewed on various occasions for podcasts in
the U.K. and US, magazine articles and radio shows to discuss her
depth of work.
